How to open an additional XM account via CB-Dogs
If we told you that your XM account "is not linked to CB-Dogs", this guide is for you. Cashback can only be paid for accounts that sit under CB-Dogs' partner account at XM. The simplest fix is to open an additional XM account through our link and submit the new account number.
Why your existing account can't simply be linked
When you open an XM account, XM records which partner (introducing broker) referred you. CB-Dogs is paid by XM only for accounts recorded under our partner account, and our cashback is a share of that payment.
An account opened before you found us, directly on XM's website, or through another website's link is recorded under someone else or under no partner at all. In most cases XM does not move an existing account to a different partner, and we cannot change that assignment ourselves.
So even though the account is yours, we can't pay cashback for it: XM pays us nothing for its trades. An additional account opened through our link solves this.
Before you start
- Stay logged out of XM's Members Area when you click our link, or use a private/incognito browser window, so that XM records the CB-Dogs partner link.
- Use your own real details. Follow XM's terms; don't create a second identity.
- XM sets its own rules (for example the number of accounts per person and verification requirements). If XM's rules don't allow what you're trying to do, ask XM support.

Fill in XM's registration form for a real (live) account and choose the platform (MT4 or MT5) and the account type you want. If XM says you already have a profile, or offers to add the account to your existing profile, check with XM support whether the new account will be registered under the partner link you arrived with before you continue.
Finish XM's verification if asked
XM may ask you to verify your identity and address, or may reuse documents you've already provided. Follow XM's instructions.
Note the new MT4/MT5 account number
XM normally sends the login details of the new trading account (the MT4/MT5 account number) by email. This number is what you submit to us, not your XM profile ID.

Log in to CB-Dogs, open "Trading accounts", choose XM, the account type and the new account number, and submit. Entering the email address registered at XM helps us match it faster.

Linking is usually confirmed within 24 hours (at most 2 business days); accounts opened very recently may take a little longer to appear on XM's side. You'll get an email when it's approved. If the new account also doesn't appear under our partner account, we'll email you — then contact us and we'll look into it.
Your existing account and your funds
- You can keep your existing XM account; opening an additional account doesn't close it.
- Whether you move funds between your own accounts, and how, is your decision. XM decides which transfers it supports; check XM's rules and any costs before moving money.
- Cashback is based on the commission XM pays CB-Dogs for accounts under our partner account, so only trading in the linked account is eligible — trades in accounts that aren't linked to us don't earn cashback.
