XM Withdrawal via USDT/Crypto: How It Works (and How It Differs From CB-Dogs Cashback)

XMTrading supports cryptocurrency deposits and withdrawals through its portal, with no XM withdrawal fee except USDT/USDC on ERC-20 under 300 USD. To withdraw profit in crypto you need a past crypto deposit. This is separate from CB-Dogs cashback, which is paid only in USDT on TRC20.

Disclosure: CB-Dogs receives an advertising (referral) fee — sometimes called an IB commission — from brokers for accounts opened or linked through us, and returns part of it to you as cashback, the same model used by cashback and points sites. This does not change your trading costs.

This article is about withdrawing from your XMTrading trading account in cryptocurrency, including USDT. It is a different thing from receiving your CB-Dogs cashback, which we always pay in USDT on the TRON network (TRC20 only). Mixing the two up is the most common source of confusion, so this guide keeps them apart from the first paragraph onward. For XMTrading withdrawals in general (methods, timing, and the margin-level rules that can delay a request), see our XM withdrawal: methods, times, and fees guide. This article covers the crypto route in more detail.

Key takeaways

  • XMTrading supports cryptocurrency deposits (about 27 coins, including BTC, ETH, XRP, USDT and USDC) and cryptocurrency withdrawals through the XMTrading Portal. XM states it processes a crypto withdrawal within 24 business hours, after which the funds reach your wallet right away.
  • XM charges no withdrawal fee for crypto, except a 15 USD fee on USDT or USDC sent on ERC-20 when the amount is under 300 USD. Blockchain network fees are paid by you. XM states there is no upper withdrawal limit.
  • Profit rule: at XMTrading only Japanese domestic bank transfer and crypto can withdraw profit, while cards and online wallets are capped at the amount you deposited. To withdraw profit in crypto you need a past crypto deposit on the account.
  • USDT on TRC20 avoids the ERC-20 fee and has low network fees, and it is the same network CB-Dogs pays cashback on, so one TRON wallet can receive both. They remain separate payments on separate schedules.
  • CB-Dogs cashback rules are our own: USDT on TRC20 only, 10 USDT minimum withdrawal, a 3 USDT fee below 50 USDT, and no fee at 50 USDT or more. None of this is set by XMTrading.

Does XMTrading support USDT/crypto withdrawals?

Yes. XMTrading supports cryptocurrency for both deposits and withdrawals, alongside its bank-transfer, card, and online-wallet options covered in our general XM withdrawal guide. Your available trading balance leaves the account as a cryptocurrency instead of fiat, sent to a wallet address you control.

The withdrawal flow in the XMTrading Portal is short:

  1. Go to the account management area, choose Withdrawal, then Cryptocurrency.
  2. Choose the coin and enter the amount and your destination wallet details.
  3. Confirm the request through the link in the confirmation email XMTrading sends to your registered address.

XM states it processes the request within 24 business hours, and once processed the funds reach the destination wallet immediately (the on-chain confirmation itself still takes whatever time the network needs). Which withdrawal options are offered depends on your country of residence and account, so the portal is the authority on what you can select.

Which coins and networks can you use

For deposits, XMTrading accepts about 27 cryptocurrencies, including BTC, ETH, XRP, USDT and USDC. Less common coins sit under an "Other" dropdown in the deposit screen.

For withdrawals, we haven't confirmed a complete official list, so we won't publish one. The withdrawal screen in your portal shows the coins and networks available to you, and that is the list to trust. Third-party sources commonly report that it includes BTC, ETH, XRP, LTC and USDT on several networks such as TRC20, but treat that as a general picture, not a guarantee for your account.

When the screen asks which network to send USDT on (for example TRC20/TRON, ERC20/Ethereum, BEP20/BNB Smart Chain, or Polygon, depending on what your account offers), that choice has to match what your destination wallet or exchange account actually expects. A mismatch can mean the funds are lost. Our guide to TRC20 vs. ERC20 vs. BEP20 explains how to tell these networks apart.

Processing time and fees

  • XM fee: none for crypto withdrawals, with one exception: USDT or USDC on ERC-20 below 300 USD carries a 15 USD fee.
  • Network fee: the blockchain (miner or validator) fee is paid by you, and it varies with network congestion. See USDT TRC20 transaction fees and energy explained for how this works on TRC20.
  • Limit: XM states there is no upper limit on a withdrawal.
  • Time: XM processes within 24 business hours. Afterwards the funds reach the wallet immediately, subject to normal blockchain confirmation.

Profit withdrawals: the crypto deposit requirement

Diagram of the XMTrading rule: amounts deposited by card or online wallet are withdrawn back by that method up to the deposited amount, while profit can leave only by Japanese domestic bank transfer or crypto, and crypto profit withdrawal needs a past crypto deposit
The XMTrading profit-withdrawal rule in simplified form. Confirm the current details in your own portal.

XMTrading applies a priority order to withdrawals. The amount you deposited through each method is returned through that method first. The relevant details:

  • Only two methods can withdraw profit: Japanese domestic bank transfer and cryptocurrency. Cards and online wallets (BXONE, STICPAY) are capped at the amount you deposited with them. STICPAY withdrawals are currently suspended.
  • To withdraw profit in crypto, you need a past crypto deposit on the account, and the deposited amounts of your other funding methods must have been fully withdrawn first, following that priority order.
  • Without a crypto deposit history, profit can only go out by bank transfer.

The domestic bank transfer route is for Japanese bank accounts (SWIFT-capable). Most CB-Dogs readers live outside Japan, so for many of them crypto is the practical route for withdrawing profit. That makes the funding choice worth thinking about before you deposit: if you expect to withdraw profit in crypto, a crypto deposit at some point creates the history that allows it. We can't promise how XMTrading will apply the rule to your specific account, so check your portal, or ask XMTrading support, before you plan around it.

Deposit details worth knowing if you fund by crypto:

  • Limits: the minimum is 10,000 JPY equivalent per deposit and the maximum is 1,500,000 JPY equivalent per deposit, with a monthly cap of 30,000 USD (or equivalent).
  • Fees: XM charges no deposit fee. Network and exchange fees are paid by you.
  • Crediting: typically a few minutes up to about an hour.
  • Address and QR code: valid for 60 minutes. The deposit address and destination tag can change every time, so always use the newly issued one.
  • XRP: requires the destination tag, or the funds can be lost.
  • Sender: send only from a wallet or exchange account in your own name.
  • Network: sending on a different chain than the address expects (for example BEP-20 to an ERC-20 address) can lose the funds.

XM withdrawal vs. CB-Dogs cashback: don't mix these up

Two parallel flows: your XMTrading trading balance withdrawn through XMTrading's own process to your bank or crypto wallet, versus your separate CB-Dogs cashback balance paid only in USDT on TRC20 to your registered wallet
Two separate balances, two separate processes, two separate schedules. Both can involve crypto, which is why they get confused.
  • XMTrading withdrawal moves money out of your trading account balance (funds you deposited and/or profit you made) through the methods XMTrading offers you, on XMTrading's own timeline and fee schedule, as described above.
  • CB-Dogs cashback is a completely separate balance: an introducing-broker (IB) referral fee XMTrading pays us based on your trading activity, part of which we pass to you as cashback. We pay it only in USDT on the TRON (TRC20) network, never any other network or coin, to the single wallet address you register and confirm in your CB-Dogs account.

The schedules are unrelated too. XMTrading's 24-business-hour processing has no bearing on when your CB-Dogs cashback becomes available: your cashback is withdrawable roughly 7 days after it is credited, with the full cycle from trade to withdrawable cashback typically running about 3 to 4 weeks, since XMTrading first has to confirm your commission internally and pay it to us before we can credit you and start our own hold period. See forex rebates paid in USDT for the full payout mechanism, and our wallet setup guide if you haven't registered a TRC20 wallet address yet.
