XM Withdrawal: Methods, Processing Times, and Fees Explained

XMTrading processes most withdrawal requests through an automated back-office system with no set fee of its own, and the company states that 98.5% of withdrawals are completed in under two minutes, though bank transfers and open-position margin rules can slow a specific request down.

Disclosure: CB-Dogs receives an advertising (referral) fee — sometimes called an IB commission — from brokers for accounts opened or linked through us, and returns part of it to you as cashback, the same model used by cashback and points sites. This does not change your trading costs.

This article is about withdrawing funds from your XMTrading trading account — moving your trading balance out to your bank, card, or e-wallet. That's a separate thing from receiving your CB-Dogs cashback, which we pay out separately in USDT; see our forex rebates paid in USDT guide if that's what you're looking for instead.

Key takeaways

  • XMTrading's minimum withdrawal is $5 across all account types, though the practical minimum can vary by payment method.
  • XMTrading states it doesn't normally charge its own withdrawal fee, though your chosen payment method can still apply one.
  • XMTrading says 98.5% of withdrawals are processed in under two minutes by an automated back-office system, with most funds received the same day; bank transfers can take longer.
  • You can request a withdrawal any time your account is verified, but a request that would drop your margin level below certain thresholds is restricted while the market is open or heading into a weekend.
  • This is entirely separate from CB-Dogs cashback, which is paid only in USDT on the TRON (TRC20) network, on a different schedule set by CB-Dogs, not by XMTrading.

The short answer

XMTrading doesn't publish a single flat withdrawal fee — its own site states that deposits and withdrawals normally carry no company-imposed fee, though the specific payment method you choose (card network, e-wallet, or your bank) can still apply its own charge. Processing itself is largely automated: XMTrading says 98.5% of withdrawal requests are completed in under two minutes by an AI-driven back-office system, with funds typically received the same day the request is processed — bank wire withdrawals are the exception, since they depend on your bank's own processing time.

Withdrawal methods

XMTrading's own site describes deposit and withdrawal options in three categories: credit/debit cards, e-wallets, and bank transfer. It doesn't name every specific provider on its public marketing pages, and the exact list of e-wallets and card networks available to you can depend on your country of residence and account currency — the definitive, current list is shown inside your own XMTrading member portal when you go to withdraw.

XMTrading groups withdrawal options into three categories; bank transfer is the one most likely to take longer than same-day.

For context on how this compares across the industry generally (not XMTrading-specific), see our forex broker withdrawal methods and fees guide.

Processing time: what XMTrading actually states

XMTrading's help centre gives two relevant, specific figures:

  • "98.5% of withdrawals are executed in under two minutes." This is a company-stated aggregate figure covering its automated back-office system, not a guarantee for any individual request.
  • Funds are typically received the same day a withdrawal request is processed, with bank transfers called out as depending on your own bank's processing time on top of that. XMTrading doesn't publish an exact business-day figure for bank transfers on its public pages.

Fees: what XMTrading charges vs. what your payment method might charge

XMTrading's own FAQ states plainly: "No, deposits and withdrawals normally carry no fee, though this can vary depending on the payment method you choose." In practice, that means:

  • XMTrading itself does not appear to charge a standard, published withdrawal fee as a matter of course.
  • Your card issuer, e-wallet provider, or receiving bank can still apply its own fee or a currency-conversion charge, entirely outside XMTrading's control.
  • The current, applicable fee for your specific payment method is shown in your member portal at the time of the request — XMTrading directs users there for exact figures rather than publishing a fixed fee table on its marketing site.

Minimum withdrawal amount

XMTrading's help centre states a $5 minimum for both deposits and withdrawals, across all account types — but adds that the practical minimum can differ by payment method. If your chosen method has a higher floor than $5, that method's minimum applies. See our XM minimum deposit by account type guide for the deposit side of the same rule.

When a withdrawal request can be restricted

XMTrading applies margin-level safeguards to withdrawal requests made while you have open positions, to prevent a withdrawal from tipping your account into a margin call or stop-out immediately after the funds leave. Per XMTrading's own help centre, stated in server time (GMT+2, with daylight saving observed):

  • A withdrawal request that would drop your margin level to 100% or below is not accepted from Monday 01:00 to Friday 23:50.
  • A withdrawal request that would drop your margin level to 400% or below is not accepted over the weekend, from Friday 23:50 to Monday 01:00 — a stricter threshold, since positions can't be actively managed while markets are closed.
Flow diagram: a withdrawal request is checked against margin-level thresholds when open positions exist, then released through the automated back-office system, typically the same day
Withdrawals with open positions are checked against margin-level thresholds before release; withdrawals with no open positions skip that check.

If you have no open positions, these thresholds don't apply, and you can withdraw your available balance at any time your account is verified.

Other things worth knowing

  • Deposit currency is auto-converted. XMTrading states that any currency you deposit is automatically converted to your account's base currency, so you can fund in whatever currency you have available.
  • MyWallet isn't withdrawable directly. XMTrading's internal "MyWallet" feature holds funds earned through its own programs (such as promotions); you can't withdraw straight from it. Funds have to be transferred into a trading account first, then withdrawn from there through the normal process.
  • This has nothing to do with your CB-Dogs cashback. CB-Dogs pays cashback separately, in USDT on the TRON network (TRC20) only, with its own 10 USDT minimum withdrawal and its own fee schedule (3 USDT below 50 USDT, fee-free at 50 USDT or more) — completely independent of anything XMTrading charges or processes on your trading-account withdrawals. See forex rebates paid in USDT for that side of things.

Frequently asked questions

XMTrading's own FAQ states that deposits and withdrawals normally carry no company fee, though the specific payment method you use (card, e-wallet, or bank) can still apply its own charge. Check your member portal for the exact figure on your chosen method.
