Exness Gold Rebate: How Much Cashback per Lot on XAUUSD?

On an Exness Standard account, gold (XAUUSD) pays the introducer a share of the spread, so the commission per lot moves with the spread. At CB-Dogs' current partner level it is roughly 4.80 USD per lot, which is about 2.9 USDT of cashback after the 60% share. That is an estimate: the actual cashback is always the commission Exness actually pays x 60%.

Disclosure: CB-Dogs receives an advertising (referral) fee — sometimes called an IB commission — from brokers for accounts opened or linked through us, and returns part of it to you as cashback, the same model used by cashback and points sites. This does not change your trading costs.

Gold is the instrument where an Exness rebate looks most interesting on paper: per lot, it pays noticeably more than EURUSD. It is also the instrument where the headline number is least reliable, because on a Standard account it follows the spread, and the gold spread changes all day. This guide explains how Exness pays the introducing broker (IB) on XAUUSD for each account type, what that means for your cashback per lot, and what to expect in a normal month.

Key takeaways

  • On Exness Standard and Pro accounts the IB commission is a percentage of the spread, so on gold it rises when the spread widens and falls when it tightens.
  • On Zero and Raw Spread accounts the commission is a fixed amount per lot, so it does not move with the gold spread.
  • At CB-Dogs' partner level, Standard XAUUSD is estimated at about 4.80 USD IB commission per lot, which is roughly 2.9 USDT cashback per lot (60%). It is an estimate, not a quoted rate.
  • Gold pays more per lot than EURUSD mainly because a gold lot has a much larger spread in dollar terms. It also costs you more to trade, so a bigger rebate is not automatically a better deal.
  • Your actual cashback is the commission Exness actually pays on your closed trades x 60%, paid in USDT (TRC20).

How Exness pays the IB on gold, by account type

Exness does not pay introducers a single flat rate across the board. The commission depends on the account type your trades are placed on, and the three families work differently. For the account types themselves, see Exness account types explained.

Account typeHow the IB commission is setDoes it move with the gold spread?
Standard (and Standard Cent)A percentage of the spread revenue. CB-Dogs is at the "Common" partner level, which is 20% of that revenueYes, directly
ProA percentage of the spread revenue, lower than Standard (17% at the Common level)Yes, directly
Zero / Raw SpreadA fixed amount per lot, set per instrumentNo, it is a fixed number
Three boxes in a row: spread revenue Exness earns on one lot of gold, the share paid to the IB, and your cashback equal to the commission times 60 percent. A note says a wider spread means a larger commission per lot, and that Zero and Raw accounts pay a fixed amount per lot instead.
On Standard, the starting point is the spread. On Zero and Raw, it is a fixed amount per lot.

The percentages above come from Exness' partner programme and from the figures shown in CB-Dogs' own partner account. The partner level can change with trading volume, so treat them as a snapshot.

Standard: a share of the spread

On Standard, you pay the cost of trading through the spread only (no separate commission). Exness keeps that spread as revenue, and a fixed percentage of it goes to the IB. Gold has a wide spread in dollar terms, so the IB share per lot is relatively large. If the spread doubles for an hour around a news release, the IB commission on trades opened in that window rises too. It works the other way as well: in quiet, tight markets the commission per lot shrinks.

Pro: same logic, lower percentage

Pro accounts are built for tighter spreads and larger deposits. The IB share is a smaller percentage of a smaller spread, so per lot it is lower than Standard. If you are choosing a Pro account because of its spread, that is a trading-cost decision first, and the lower cashback per lot is a side effect.

Zero and Raw Spread: fixed per lot

On commission-based accounts the spread is close to raw market, and you pay a commission per lot. The IB side is also a fixed amount per lot, which means the cashback on gold does not swing with spread. It is easier to predict, but CB-Dogs' figure for these accounts is smaller on EURUSD (a Zero EURUSD lot is estimated at about 0.43 USD IB commission), and the gold figure should be read from the table below rather than assumed.

Account typeRebate / lot (USDT)
StandardNo separate commission — Exness pays partners a share of the spread. The estimate below is for EURUSD at our current partner rank; GBPUSD and gold (XAUUSD) typically pay more per lot, tighter-spread pairs less. Rates rise automatically as our trading volume with Exness grows.0.96
ProNo separate commission — Exness pays partners a share of the spread, at a lower percentage than Standard. We don't yet have a reliable per-instrument estimate for this account type, so no figure is shown; your cashback is still 60% of the actual commission Exness pays us.0.0
ZeroCommission-based account with near-zero raw spreads. The estimate below is for EURUSD at our current partner rank; other instruments vary. Cashback is paid in addition to the raw spread and does not affect the commission you pay Exness.0.25
Raw SpreadCommission-based account with raw interbank spreads. Exness pays partners a fixed amount per lot that varies by instrument; we don't yet have a reliable figure to show, so no estimate is listed — your cashback is still 60% of the actual commission Exness pays us.0.0

Provisional rate

The table shows CB-Dogs' current display values, which are estimates. If any cell is marked as to be confirmed, we have not verified a per-lot figure for it yet and we would rather say so than guess.

The estimate: about 2.9 USDT per lot on Standard

In the partner screen's calculator (checked 2026-09-29), a Standard-account lot is estimated at roughly these IB commission amounts:

Instrument (Standard)Estimated IB commission per lotCB-Dogs cashback at 60%
EURUSDabout 1.60 USDabout 0.96 USDT
GBPUSDabout 1.99 USDabout 1.19 USDT
XAUUSD (gold)about 4.80 USDabout 2.88 USDT

Please read these as estimates. They depend on the spread the calculator assumes, they will differ from your actual trades, and Exness can change the partner terms. The rule that does not change is that your cashback is the commission Exness actually pays on your trades x 60%. P&L is irrelevant: a losing gold trade and a winning one generate the same commission. If you want to run your own volume, the cashback calculator uses the same rates.

A worked monthly example (example figures only)

Suppose a trader in Thailand trades gold on a Standard account and closes 20 lots in a month. Here are two ways the same month could look, using example figures based on the estimate above.

Calm month (flat spread)Same volume, some trades during news
Lots at the estimated 4.80 USD commission2015
Lots opened in wide-spread windows (assume 1.5x the commission)05
Total IB commission96.00 USD72.00 + 36.00 = 108.00 USD
Cashback at 60%57.60 USDT64.80 USDT

These are example figures, not a forecast. The point is the mechanism: the extra 7.20 USDT in the second column is not a bonus, it is the result of trading when spreads were wider, which also cost the trader more on those 5 lots. Do not choose to trade at news time to farm the rebate: the extra spread you pay will normally exceed the extra cashback you receive.

At the CB-Dogs payout rules, a month like this is well above the 50 USDT threshold for a free withdrawal. Below 50 USDT a withdrawal costs 3 USDT, and the minimum is 10 USDT.

What makes the number move

  • News releases and volatility. Gold spreads widen around major data such as NFP and CPI. On Standard, the commission on trades opened then is higher. See trading gold on news.
  • Daily rollover and thin liquidity. The spread typically widens around the end-of-day rollover and in the quiet hours, with the same effect.
  • Account type. Moving from Standard to Pro lowers both your spread and the IB percentage. Moving to Zero or Raw replaces the spread-linked share with a fixed amount.
  • Partner level. If CB-Dogs' partner level changes, the percentage changes. We update the table when it does.
  • Excluded or reduced trades. Accounts and trades Exness does not pay commission on (for example certain bonus or social-trading conditions, which we have not confirmed in full ) earn no cashback.

Why gold pays more per lot than EURUSD

On Standard, the commission is a share of spread revenue, so the question becomes why a gold lot generates more spread revenue than a EURUSD lot. A standard gold lot is a much larger position in dollar terms, and the gold spread, quoted in dollars per ounce, translates into a bigger dollar cost per lot than a EURUSD spread of a pip or so does. That is also why gold cashback per lot looks large compared with currency pairs at any broker.

The flip side is cost. A higher rebate per lot goes together with a higher spread cost per lot. Compare the net cost (spread plus any commission, minus cashback) rather than the rebate alone. The same logic applies when you compare Exness with XM, where the per-lot amounts and the cost structure differ; the full comparison is in Exness vs XM.

Gold trading conditions on Exness: what we could and could not confirm

Exness' own specification pages blocked our automated check, so we do not state exact current spreads, leverage or swap values for XAUUSD. Secondary sources describe a 100 troy ounce contract size with a 0.01 lot minimum, floating spreads that depend on the account type and session, and swap-free options for eligible clients, but these are not confirmed by us from Exness directly. Check the XAUUSD specification inside your Exness Personal Area or on exness.com before you size a trade.

How to get this cashback

You need an Exness account that is attributed to CB-Dogs. For a new account, register, open the account through the CB-Dogs link, and submit the account number. The steps are in how to open an Exness account and link cashback, and the broker summary is on the Exness page. CB-Dogs does not use Exness' built-in Rebates feature, so you are not paid twice. Cashback is paid in USDT on TRC20.

FAQ

On a Standard account, roughly 2.9 USDT per lot is the current estimate (about 4.80 USD IB commission x 60%). It moves with the spread, so your actual amount will differ. The only reliable figure is the commission Exness actually pays on your trades x 60%.

Summary

Exness Standard pays the IB a share of the spread, so gold rebates are larger than EURUSD and also less predictable. The current estimate is about 4.80 USD of IB commission per lot, or roughly 2.9 USDT of cashback, but the real figure is always the commission actually paid x 60%. Use the table above for current display values, the calculator for your volume, and the account types guide to compare the net cost before you pick an account.
